Calen Simpson is a Western Australian raised, positive actor who can sing and dance and has made the most of every role with a focused and committed presence. He is confident, passionate, versatile, and a driven professional who began his journey in the arts at an early age of 6.
Calen is skilled in theatre and is versatile in all other areas including, film, voiceovers, and commercials. He has worked with Australian songwriter, Peter Combe as a backup dancer for 2 years at Fringe World Perth. Calen has been involved in a major theatre company called Harvest Rain through their productions of Hairspray and Grease – The Arena Experience. He has also been the lead role in productions such as, Beauty and the Beast (Maurice), Grease (Kenickie), Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow), and A Streetcar Named Desire (Stanley Kowalski).
Calen has been trained by Ali Roberts Studio and Filmbites and has attended WAAPA masterclasses for 2 years. Calen has recently furthered his experience in the performing arts at the University of Notre Dame Australia, completing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Theatre Studies, and minoring in Film Studies.
