Siobhan Wright began her experience with the stage at an early age, being born in to a family of entertainers, her Father was a well known comedian and her Mother was a pianist, who was also a very accomplished actress. So from an early age Siobhan was encouraged to take little roles in funny skits and plays. She was also involved with an advertising agency in Ireland where she appeared in many ads and short movies. but it wasn't until she emigrated to Perth from Ireland in 1987 that she got more involved in amateur theatre. Over the past 32 years she has been in over thirty plays and Pantomimes, playing anything from a jealous wife to a blind nun in a wheelchair to a witch. She has also directed and written lots of comedy skits and three full length plays which have been performed both here and in Ireland, winning awards on the way. Over the years she has taken part in many acting workshops and courses which have helped her develop the craft. She has also acted in several student movies. Now that she has retired from work, she stays involved with theatre groups, both acting and directing. She is versatile and loves the challenge of playing different characters. I would say comedy is her Forte.
