An insightful, passionate and considered performer, Kaitlin has a deep love for the craft of acting. She first tred the boards at a very young age when she secured the lead role in her dance school’s Christmas production and has gone on to secure a number of leading roles, performance awards and critical praise since.
She is an accomplished theatre actor with a wealth of experience and confidence on the stage. Most recently she stared in Limelight Theatre’s production as Wendy in Peter Pan. She has also performed in the Graduate Dramatic Society’s Production of the Merry Wives of Windsor, Harbour Theatre’s The Railway Children (for which she won a Best Actress award), Melville Theatre’s Emma and Stirling Theatre’s The Miracle Worker (for which she won an ITA Finley Award for Best Actress), to name but a few.
Kaitlin’s many stage reviews have described her as “an audience favourite” and as “a talent to watch out for”. Her characters are played with “depth, understanding and bucket loads of charm” and it’s been said of her performances that “rarely do you find acting of this calibre in Perth”.
She is currently continuing to hone her craft through dedicated screen acting training and workshops. She has previously undergone training at ECU/WAAPA, beginning a degree in contemporary performance and theatre studies before completing a degree in broadcasting and journalism. Kaitlin has also studied under Annie Murtagh-Monks through PAC screen workshops, Fern Nicholson at NASA and other assorted short courses.
Kaitlin has a particular affinity and talent for accents and can comfortably work in a variety of accents including British RP, standard American, German, French and more than likely ones that she is yet to try.
