Hey my name is Leek Deng Leek, but my first name is pronounced “Lek”. I am 22 years old, born on the 6th of October 1997 in Nairobi Kenya. I immigrated to Australia along with my family in 2005, although I have always wanted to be on TV at the age of 10 years old, my experience started in high school in my year 7 drama class. I fell in love with it straight away I knew that it was something i wanted to pursue as a career. I continued with Drama classes from Year 7-12. In year 9/10 my friend introduced me to Phoenix youth centre in Footscray, which led me to 3 years of stage acting, with my first play being Winter which was extended into a longer story which i quite enjoyed. I am currently doing a 12 week course at Tanya: Modelling/acting classes but it was closed down 8 weeks into the course because of corona virus but its due to open back after locked down sometimes soon. What we basically did there was learn angles of cameras, how to do advertisements, videos and how to learn to understand a script. I love acting and i have a passion and potential to go into the next stage such as tv shows, movies and advertisements. My favourite hobbies when I am not acting is basketball, Karate and going to the gym. I describe myself as a happy, outgoing and willing to meet new people type of person, i enjoy working together as a team or by myself whichever is reasonable for the time being. I really look forward into being part of now talents and i hope this opens up doors and opportunities for my career.
