Tommy is an exceptional dog with a wonderful character, beautiful temperament and a lovely sweet face to match. He loves playing with a ball and is an incredible soccer player – he runs full pelt at soccer/footballs and scoots them along the ground with his paws and sometimes even his snout. He actually uses his feet quite a lot when manoeuvring the ball around the place and will send it back to you on command. If you throw it the right way he can bounce it right back into your arms, with or without the bounce. He often also hides behind (trees and benches) or under things (dining table) while waiting for you to return the ball before rolling it back to you with his feet. He follows all the regular obedience commands – sit, stay, down, wait etc. But his vocabulary is far broader, understanding – closer, over, round, push and slow. He does some sheep dog work and is calm and controlled when moving the flock. We are often told how happy he looks all the time, and he does as he is. less
