Chiho started her career as a model during her high school days after being scouted by Oscar Promotion,Japan's largest model agency. She worked on magazines, TV commercial films and programs from the age of 16. After graduating from University she was chosen from a pool of two thousand applicants in that year to be the only female announcer for Asahi Broadcast Corporation in Japan. In this job she hosted many TV and radio programs, conducted interviews, news show, sports programs and featured on impromptu comedy programs. She also narrated for national TV and published documentary DVDs. Chiho is also a talented multi instrumentalist and has performed as a singer/songwriter in many concerts and music festivals both in Japan and Australia.
