When teaching teenagers and children acting, the most important outcome should always be to give them the confidence to get up and perform in front of people. Whether for the stage or screen, no amount of technical skill can make up for a lack of confidence.
In the Acting courses for Teenagers and Children, we will go through many exercises ranging from Improvisation, Scene Creation to Script work, all of which are designed to create trust within the group and confidence in front of a crowd. The classes will also cover more specific acting styles, such as the techniques of Stanislavsky and Adler. Some classes will cover movement and Stage fighting and many classes will be devoted to the tools of the actor, including his/her voice and body.
The completion of the course will give the participants an understanding of the way the voice and body work together to create a character. It will also give them the confidence and skill to control and manipulate this character in performance.
- Beginners and over 18
Actors Now has an outstanding acting course – for beginners who have no prior experience but want to develop their talent, or for actors who want to refresh their skills with top working professionals.
Our teachers are second to none. All are extremely successful in their chosen fields and we truly appreciate their agreeing to take this particular intensive course.
Rather than the course dragging out over three months, where other commitments may eventually interfere, we’ve elected to put the pressure on over six weeks, with two, three hour lessons a week. This will ensure that your time spent with us is highly productive and should also maximize the final outcome.
This course is for over 18’s only as we also have Children’s Drama Classes for the under 18’s.
